I’m in love with the little bit of preview Gaga gave us today! I’m so fucking excited for this record and especially this song! So excited that I made 2 single covers for my own love! Check them out! Viva Gaga!

This was my first version.

But then the cover grew into this commentary on the government. Love both!

“Put your hands on me, John F. Kennedy. I’ll make you squeal baby.” AHHH! So excited that I’ve watched that runway video 39 times, um, no lie!

Thanks for reading!

As you know I’m a huge Lady Gaga fan and I’d say that’s an understatement. Last Thursday, September 2, 2010 I attended the concert that will change lives. In retrospect my soul has been waiting for an event like this my whole life. A place where you can go and be free and be whoever you want to be. You can be yourself and ain’t nobody gonna tell you otherwise. Like a good little monster I had seen most of the concert online via low res YouTube clips, but those clips can’t express the amount of emotion, talent, and goodwill Gaga gives back to you in that concert hall.

The day started with my friends Jamie and Kristi and my sister Jackie driving down to Milwaukee. We left about 2:30 pm to embark on our adventure to The Monster Ball. We arrived at my sister Brigette’s apartment went to grab some yummy Jimmy John’s and then came back to get ready. I had downloaded a tutorial video off of YouTube onto my phone so that I could do my make up beautifully. The girls were in various places of the apartment also getting ready and just getting all pumped up for an awesome night. Jackie got makeup done by Brigette and I needed some assistance from Kristi for my super long eyelashes (last worn during my Lady Gaga Masquerade Bday Bash). Around 6 pm we were all ready to go to the Bradley Center and we took a fun cab ride to get there!

Look how excited everyone is! :)

Yay! We're here!

When we arrived at the Bradley Center it was everything a little monster dreams about: a place to be a freak and have a good time. The costumes were so beautiful and you just wanted to go up to every person and congratulate them on their excellence. I went up to a few fellow monsters to tell them I loved their outfits. One guy was wearing the most amazing shoes ever and I know he must have been in pain by the end of the night! Kudos to you fellow monster brother! We got our picture taken next to the GAGA bus and sort of just did our thing getting all excited waiting outside to get in!

Such a brave boy!

Around 7 they let the people who didn’t have general admission ticket in the door. On our way up Virgin Mobile was doing a photo shoot of all little monsters of ages 18 years old and up. Jackie was sweet and waited with us as we went in line to get our photos taken professionally by this glamorous woman! You could see she was a very exciting and hyper lady ready to take your picture and make you look beautiful in your own way. I saw Kristi get her picture taken first and she was super stoked! Then Jamie was up, a little nervous, but she was also super cute in her little get up and she did great. Then the lady was like, “Hello! Joey! Are you ready?” And as a monster I instinctively said, “Rar,” and put my paws up at her! She was all like, “Yes. That’s amazing.” We took a couple of pictures and then she ran over to the girls at the computer and said, “That one!” Little did I know 24 hours after The Monster Ball I ended up here LadyVirgin.com in 9/02 Milwaukee Featured Monster Section! So cool!

Look I got featured! HA!

We got up to our section 421 and bought some sodas and started to get ready for the opening act Semi Precious Weapons. While we were waiting for the opening act they were playing some good music and I may or may not be up on YouTube via a strangers camera. Kristi and I were getting our freak on to Ludacris and I believe I made one of the lady ushers night. If you go to Gaga you gotta shake your ass and be a free bitch, baby! As the clock approached closer to 8:00 pm I was getting excited to see Semi Precious Weapons, I’ve been playing their cd in my garage for almost a month now and I think they are amazing!

As per instructed on Semi Precious Weapons website I printed out the cut out of Justin, the lead singer, and I held his face proud during their sexy 45 minutes on stage. I love glam and I love rock! They were such a bunch of free crazy bisexual hotties! Owwa! When Justin began to chant, “LADY GAGA! LADY GAGA! LADY GAGA!” I got super excited for the moment was almost here: Lady Gaga and me. Of course I wasn’t the only one at the concert but the intimate relationship she shares with her fans it feels like a real loving relationship between two close friends. She knows this and we know this, we are all family in a world where we are made to believe that being different is slutty, inappropriate, and wrong in God’s eyes. You do not have to conform to society’s idea of what is normal!

The stage got dark, the scrim came down, and the projector started to project images of the monster that is Lady Gaga. My heart started to thump in time with the beat, knowing that she opens with Dance In The Dark, my favorite song, I begin to tear up. When the projection leaves and under the scrim is Lady Gaga, I am in heaven. I am where I belong with my musical best friend. She begins to sing and I just lose it, more tears for one of the happiest moments of my life. All you can see is her beautiful shadow as she sings and dances in the dark. The imagery and lyrics to this song create a place for me and all the loved ones I’ve ever lost, we are together and we dance in the dark. I haven’t been this moved since I saw my first gospel choir in a Black Baptist Church, the spirit is alive in Gaga!

A beautiful loving person: Lady Gaga!

After that song you get to see Gaga in the flesh doing what she does best: singing live, dancing, and putting on a good show. I’m proud to know that I have exposed my sister Jackie to a true artist, a genuine loving caring, individual who made Jackie’s first concert epic.

Later during the concert Gaga started to speak telling you things that you long to hear from your wayward parents or friends, something usually coming from a motivational speaker, but with Gaga it’s all real and honest, no bullshit. She tells us you can be whoever you wanna be and she tells us that she was a freak in high school and that she never fit in. Again I cry because it’s like hearing these things for the first time again: I did not fit in, I was a freak, and I’m gay. She expressed her opinions about being gay and how it’s okay and I just felt like a million bucks. No one woman can make you feel like this other than your mother, just an amazing concert.

Gaga singing Paparazzi and facing her fear: the angler fish.

When the concert was over Kristi and I went to the meet and greet with Semi Precious Weapons where we got autographs on Justin’s cut out head and the CD. We also got our picture taken with them, it turned out blurry, but who cares. I met one of Gaga’s dearest friends and the lead singer messed up my hair, just awesome! I left the Bradley Center a new man who had barely a voice from screaming for Lady Gaga harder than any roller coaster ride or injury in my life. We drove home that night happy, changed monsters.

The following day at work, as I was opening the store, the concert was still brewing in my mind and I broke down crying. I was crying because I’ve never felt so free in all my life. I’ve never felt this way and will never feel this way again. Some may call this brainwashing or something, I’d like to say it was genuine inspiration for a better life and a better world. We need less hate and more love like Lady Gaga. To those of you who say she is not a relevant pop culture figure, you have not experienced The Monster Ball. This is a woman who writes her own songs, sings live, and plays a plethora of instruments. Lady Gaga is a genuine artist who is possibly one of the most loving creatures on this Earth. Needless to say I’ll never be the same after The Monster Ball.

Thank you Lady Gaga for all that you do for us!

Love,
Joey Monster

So happy I could die!

So this year so far I have not made any other videos other than this one at work. We had a crazy man customer in and well, you’ll see after you watch this video. This is a rare video of me completely losing it. I had no idea I had every laugh known to man stuck inside of me. I’m telling you this crazy man was bat-shit crazy. He is sure to influence many a video in the future. Watch it:

In other news I’ve been doing a lot of cartoon drawings which started with Lady Gaga. Now I’ve done one of my boyfriend and one of my friend Monica. I think they look pretty cool. I’m still an amateur, because I draw that on a computer and not on paper. I’d say about six months ago I could not have done these kinds of graphic drawings at all! I have to say that by the time I got to work on Monica(which is my newest piece) I think I’ve found my niche. Check it out:

Samples of Joey's Graphics

I made a lot of goals for myself this year but I’m pretty excited for the unexpected things I’ve done that were not on the list. But I still want to write and produce a follow up to my Google Me song. I will start that next Tuesday.

Until then Bitches!

Anytime I’m pissed off about the ignorance that so many people display I watch this video or listen to the mp3 version. I’m aware that the original is the best, but for me, these added verses fit life as it is today:
————————
Lady Gaga Human Rights Campaign March
Imagine
By John Lennon (additional lyrics by Lady Gaga)
Performed by Lady Gaga

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
And only Matthew in the sky*
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday that you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

People of the nation
Are you listening
It isn’t equal if it’s sometimes
I want a real democracy
Imagine all the people
Could love equally

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing in the world
With nothing to hate
And nothing to think
Just people to love
And friends to have drinks

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
————————

Letting go of hate is so hard for me, but I’m letting go and giving it back to this song! “Imagine all the people living in peace.” I think John Lennon would be so proud to know that his song and his message still live on today.

I really want to be and think more like this song. So I renounce all my hate on people and I will just agree to disagree. And, yes, readers, that does include Perez Hilton, too. It takes more energy to hate than any other emotion I know.

As you may have noticed I must be in this mood for some reason and this is all I have to say about it.

Today something was told to me, which I’ve decided to keep to myself, but let it be known that I’m not particularly impressed with anyone who laughs at love. It’s simply wrong. I despise having to be a bigger person and let this go. The old me would very much like to get into a huge argument or an all out brawl. However I realize that would hurt a lot more people and make me just as ignorant.

text_graffiti_all_you_need_is_love1

Sometimes ignorance is a wicked thing and I do not understand how people can be the way they are, but I’m sure that they laughed because they are blind. They cannot look beyond their own prejudices and skewed views on what they think love is. Most people at least have enough respect to hold their composure and keep their rude responses to themselves, but to each their own. All I have to say to all that is:

“Imagine all the people could love equally.”

It is my duty as an avid Lady Gaga monster to protect and defend my Lady’s honor at all costs! UW-Whitewater of The University of Wisconsin’s college paper Royal Purple, just recently reviewed Lady Gaga’s new cd. For starters this girl has it out for pop music, she doesn’t even like it, especially when she spouts shit like: “Alejandro” and “Dance in the Dark” are reminiscent of “Bad Romance’s” rough and edgy verses but the 90s-esque choruses make the listener to want to skip through the 15 seconds of total crap.” I’m sorry Victoria Vlisides, but you do not understand the genius that is Lady Gaga. You just don’t get it at all. Beyond that she has no idea what any of the songs are actually about and anyone who believes “So Happy I Could Die” is the most catchiest song on the album doesn’t deserve to review pop music.

Read her review on my screen shot below or click the link: Music review: “The Fame Monster” by Victoria Vlisides from http://www.royalpurplenews.com.

Lady Gaga review by Victoria

Now whether or not the Royal Purple deems my comment acceptable on their website is up to them. But here was my speech to her about her and her review:

“Your greatest misinterpretation about Lady Gaga’s “light and fluffy” music is the underlying message. She is not singing about dancing in the dark or looking for bad romances. She is cleverly singing about complex and human issues. For the listener who cannot handle the deeper meaning they can just simply think it’s about (“Bad Romance”) having bad relationships. To understand this album you must look deeper and realize that each song is about different kinds of fear.

“Bad Romance” is fear of love. “I want your psycho” doesn’t mean she wants you to kill her, it means she wants to know the deepest darkest parts of you. As far as the “…lyrics spoken in French for no apparent reason,” it is obvious: Paris is considered the fashion capital of the world. To speak French is to speak fashion.

I disagree with your opinion that “So Happy I Could Die” is her catchiest song. Of all her songs it is the most “repetitious garbage” on the album. (Although, I wouldn’t call anything she does “garbage.”)

You are more comfortable with her debut album because it’s what you know. I challenge you to take another listen, even if you do not care for Pop music. Lady Gaga takes “light and fluffy” music to the next level.

Look back at all the Pop songs and you’ll see there is substance that the general public has overlooked. My advice to you is to listen to the CD again and experience the genius that is Lady Gaga. I promise that in one year’s time you will be eating your words as she takes over the Pop charts, once again.”

Anyways I don’t hate Victoria Vlisides, but I definitely don’t care for her review on Lady Gaga’s magical cd either. May she take heed to my words and give our beloved Gaga a second chance!

I want to let everyone know that this weekend I had a blast having a very unique birthday party. I wanted a masquerade birthday, but with the flair of Lady Gaga’s crazy style. So we had what I called: LORD JOEY’S GAGA MASQUERADE BIRTHDAY BASH and it was so fun.

The invitations.

The invitations.

Redesigning my apartment was probably the most fun! I covered the walls in random sayings or lyrics that Lady Gaga sings or says. I did a lot of that “Pop ate my heart” and “Pop ate my brain” stuff from her video shorts that she has used in concerts. Imagine an entire apartment living room covered with Gagaisms. “I want your psycho” covered a lot of one wall. I made these creepy hot pink hearts with ventricles and I even made a paper brain and stuck it to the ceiling. I covered my mirror with a sheet of black lace and painted words on the mirror like “DRAMA” and “VERTIGO” and “ROMANCE”. I will try and take pictures, before my boyfriend has me take it all down.

When people arrived to the masquerade I had a sign that said “Welcome to the Masquerade” and I had bright work lights in front of the door. When you opened the door everyone got blinded by the lights! For the fashion part we had this large 6 foot painting that I threw a white sheet over so we could take pictures in front of a background. We also had a camera setup that stayed in one spot and randomly took pictures throughout the evening.

Of course I had every Lady Gaga song, some of her unknowns and import singles as well. For every fourth Lady Gaga song played I did throw a couple of other pop songs in, so people wouldn’t be overwhelmed. I also made many weird mini films of my own that played silently on the t.v. along with her music videos and some of her “Pop ate my heart” and “Pop ate my brain” videos and some Andy Warhol videos as well. I really wanted the party to feel like an exhibit, if you will, of Lady Gaga. I made it themed and visually covered my apartment in her world of pop culture, fashion, music, and performance art.

On to costumes. People were so clever with their outfits and masks and makeup and even their facial attachments. I was very impressed and proud of my friends! I’ll be sure to post lots of those pictures as well!

Lady Gaga Birthday Bash

I, myself, wore a collaboration of her looks for the evening. I liked the look of the hair from her Paparazzi video and the lipstick. But I loved her Maison Michel bunny ears so much that I made my own. For the rest of the look I really liked her “Pop ate my heart” video. I wore a black vinyl vest over a black hoodie and when you unzipped my hoodie it revealed that pop, indeed, ate my heart! I switched back and forth from the Mickey Mouse looking sunglasses and the Maison Michel inspired bunny ears throughout the evening.

Lady Gaga Bunny Ears

For one of my presents I received an awesome Marilyn Monroe wig from my friend Kelly, so at one point her and I left the room and switched me out of my wig into the Marilyn. I came back into the room carrying a boom box that played Bad Romance. I swung my disco stick(eBay) and made everyone join in the “fashion train” as I lip synced her song! Then we had my delicious hot pink cake and played some fun games! All in all Lady Gaga really inspired me to have an awesome birthday party!

Tomorrow is my actual birthday and I will be 26! Hope I can manage to be as amazing and famous as Lady Gaga!

I admit that it is my own fault for not getting tickets when they first went on sale. But never, since like fucking Britney Spears (pre-lip syncing days, if there was such a thing), have I wanted to see someone so bad in concert. Lady Gaga is a fucking genius and I really don’t need to go into detail of how obsessed I am with her amazingness!

So I originally wanted to take 6 people to Chicago so we could see her do her thang! Well, of course, they were all sold out, except not. All the tickets have been bought by other companies or fucking scalpers and are reselling the tickets at outrageous prices, but it is my understanding that if they don’t sell the tickets, that all of sudden the venue will magically have new tickets available. Whatever I’m not going to explain ticket sales and shit. But I am going to explain the absurdity of how much 4 tickets run on eBay! Here let me show you:

Screen shot 2009-12-05 at 11.04.08 AM

That’s right! $2,834.00! So being the snotty bitch that I am I sent this message to the seller:

Screen shot 2009-12-05 at 11.03.31 AM

Oh and is it worth that amount of money? No! I love Lady Gaga, but if I’m not walking away with more than a fucking child after spending almost three grand, I don’t think it’s worth it. I guess I’m not as obsessed as I say. But I still pray to Lady Gaga each night before I go to bed, serious!

Wondering where you’d be sitting for that price? Look below:

Nonetheless I still feel that, “I’m your biggest fan! I follow you until you love me, papa, Paparazzi!”

So as you probably already know by now that I’m completely, beyond obsessed with the existence and the very movement of Lady Gaga. I’m in love with her! She is an amazing performance artist and can perform and sing live and do it well! Finally someone who doesn’t lip sync who gets me just as excited about music. My heart races every time she walks on stage(my computer stage) and sits down to perform. You never know what she’ll come up with next. God bless her and her crew at Haus of Gaga!

Well I’m having a masquerade party this holiday season for my birthday and well she has inspired me so much that you’ll just have to look and see what she has made me create! :)

Lady Gaga Inspiration Mask

Obviously it isn’t as amazing as her mask, but it definitely pleases me that I could even get it somewhat right. Of course if I had the big bucks I’d make it all out of leather and get the gold grommets and the beautiful gold chains, instead of gold thread… But who cares I’m happy with it’s amazing-ness!

Long live the Queen of Pop and Pop Culture!
